Recently, the concept of anti-crisis management as a special type of managerial activity has gained considerable popularity in the Russian semi‑scientific community. The author examines in detail the arguments put forward in favor of this doctrine by its proponents. He demonstrates its complete inadequacy. He presents quite convincing reasons why no gimmicks in the form of “anti-crisis management” can, in principle, eliminate the main flaw of the market‑based organization of social functioning — crises. This requires crisis‑free management that excludes both the market as the key imperative of social organization at the macro level and the crises it generates.
