Editorial

I am feeling privileged and honoured to contribute this editorial for the first issue of 2016. In fact, I am working very closely with this editorial team since the inception of this journal in 2015 and the relentless efforts of this editorial team have been reflected in terms of great success of all issues in the year 2015. I have noticed an appreciable response from the audience for this journal. I am hopeful for further more participation by professionals in submitting their scholarly works to this journal. In the era of globalisation, I would like to have interdisciplinary participation when the point of sharing knowledge is concerned. Hence, in the subsequent future issues of this journal we welcome the interdisciplinary commentaries and the papers we publish; and I hope that this, too, will become a regular feature. For appropriate contribution and the welfare of the specialty of Criminology and Forensics it is necessary for an editorial team to undertake valued contribution of speciality editors. And, FRCIJ is following the same principle of recruiting visiting Speciality Editors to augment the excellent work already undertaken by the existing team.

I can forecast that the current year will be, in many senses, a landmark year for the Forensic-fraternity all over the world. This can be visualised by concurrent effects of ongoing judicial reforms and financial austerity challenging the delivery of efficient, independent medico-legal services to the stakeholders across the globe. Therefore, I am expecting that our Forensic-fraternity will gear up their research activities further widening its dimension and project their research works to an international audience by publishing through FRCIJ. This Journal, our Journal, will do its utmost to play its part in maintaining the highest standards of scientific enquiry and debate, within an equally ethical framework. I look forward, with great expectation, to being a part of this editorial team.
