Abstract

As a core component of village cultural ecology, the systematic conservation of intangible cultural heritage from “heritagization” to “everyday living” has become a key issue in rural cultural revitalization. This study constructs a cultural gene extraction framework for craftbased intangible cultural heritage from six dimensions: material, color, form, craftsmanship, behavior and imagery. It summarizes a three-level spatial translation pathway of “symbolic layer translation — logical layer translation — spiritual layer translation”, and proposes a site adaptation method integrating point, line and plane spatial scales. Taking the Tujia brocade Xilankapu as the research object, this paper applies and interprets the spatial translation approach for the intervention of craft intangible cultural heritage in the public space renewal of traditional villages. This research provides a systematic, replicable and practically operable pathway and methodology for the living inheritance of craft intangible cultural heritage and the regeneration of traditional villages.
