Biography
Stephan Ogenstad is President of Statogen Consulting, NC since 2006, Co-Founder of Innovalyst. He served as chief statistical advisor and reviewer to the Nobel Prize committee of Medicine and Physiology. He has 25 years of experience with major pharmaceutical companies and distinguished university hospitals. He earned a PhD in Statistics and served as professor of statistics at the Department of Statistics, University of Stockholm. He is an Adjunct Faculty Member and Professor of Biostatistics, Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health, GSU, and on the International Advisory Committee of the UNCG, and Secretary of the NC Chapter of the American Statistical Association, Program Chair for Statistical Consulting for the ASA, Member of the InnaVirVax HIV International Advisory Board, Member of the CHAI Scientific Advisory Board and Director of Biostatistics at Center for Professional Advancement. He is today engaged in project collaborations with pharma, medical device companies, MIT, Georgia Southern University, and the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He interacts with FDA personnel at FDA committee meetings and FDA scientific advisory committee meetings on behalf of his clients. During the past 25 years, he has held senior executive positions in nonclinical and clinical biostatistics and clinical data management with AstraZeneca, Parexel International Corporation, Amgen, and Vertex. He has been the lead statistician in the filing of 27 submissions in Europe, USA and Japan. He has more than 80 publications, book chapters, and presentations in the areas of biostatistics and medicine, and is a reviewer of several journals.
