Shyn Shin Sheen was born on November, 1956 in southern Taiwan, R.O.C. He earned bachelor degree in aquaculture from National Taiwan Ocean University in 1979. Then, he joined the army with ROTC program. After served army for two years, he worked as a research assistant at Institute of Botany, Academia Sinica. In order to obtain advanced knowledge, he applied Master degree from University of North Carolina at Department of Marine Science and Ph.D. degree from Mississippi State University at Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. After obtained Ph.D. degree, he came back to my home country to work as Associate Professor at Department of Aquaculture, National Taiwan Ocean University till now. He has served as Department head of Aquaculture for six years, Direct of Center for Teacher Development and Administrative Efficiency, National Taiwan Ocean University for two years, and Dean of International Affairs, National Taiwan Ocean University for two years. He also served as editorial board of “Aquacultural Engineering”, “Aquaculture” and “Journal of the Fisheries Society of Taiwan”. He is the member of World Aquaculture Society, National Shellfisheries Association, American Fisheries Society, The Fisheries Society of Taiwan, and Sigma Xi. He teaching “Fish Nutrition”, “Living Organisms as Food for Aquaculture”, and “Seminar of Master Student” at National Taiwan Ocean University.

The nutrients requirement for grouper, Cobia, Tilapia and other marine fish, The sterility treatments for ornamental fish and crustaceans, The pigmentation of ornamental fish and breeding selection of grey mullet.
