Abstract

The COVID19 pandemic poses an exceptional challenge for humanity. Because public behavior is key to curbing the pandemic at an early stage, it is important for social psychological researchers to use their knowledge to promote behaviors that help manage the crisis. Here, we identify human values as particularly important in driving both behavioral compliance to government guidelines and promoting prosocial behaviors to alleviate the strains arising from a prolonged pandemic. Existing evidence demonstrates the importance of human values, and the extent to which fellow citizens, for tackling the COVID19 crisis, share them. Individuals who attach higher importance to self‐transcendence (e.g., responsibility) and conservation (e.g., security) values are likely to be more compliant with COVID19 behavioral guidelines and to help others who are struggling with the crisis. Further, believing that fellow citizens share one's values has found to elicit a sense of connectedness that may be crucial in promoting collective efforts to contain the pandemic. The abstract nature of values, and cross-cultural agreement on their importance, suggests that they are ideally suited to developing and tailoring effective, global interventions to combat this pandemic.

Introduction

The Corona virus is a crown like structure which causes serious illness to human. This makes all the human persons in to pathetic situation. Corona crisis is an outbreak of the world peace. It rapidly affects socially, politically, economically, and like health also. Pandemic situation challenges our human life. All the humanity invariably suffering a lot. Our state is also one among the inversely affected areas. Our Tamilnadu Government paves important role to take care of affected people and those who are in dying in deathbed. Government is also helping the people promoting social behaviours following social distance, wearing mask and so on. Giving announcement to all the cities, by streets that they can be aware of corona. This changes the behavioural pattern of the people. Even until now, people are in agitation state but they go for normal work for their day today’s needs. They should come out of their crisis for the safe and security of the people. Now and then, the social media is outdating the affected people and death too. This can makes the people to be aware of all the time consciously. Similarly, it is an even more contagious to person-to-person. Ethical impacts gives moral support to the people and the potential contribution towards the moral values.1

Ethical aspects vs moral principles

Ethics are critical analysis of morality that guide human conduct and social wellbeing of the people in order to create harmony and peace to our nation to the locality.2

  1. Welfare: People have their own basic needs to survive in this world and take care of their loved ones.
  2. Freedom: Each person has his own right to freedom. Man has his own likes and dislikes which he may dislike but ought to obey to the rules and regulations of the country.
  3. Justice: Explained in terms of non-partiality. Each person must treated equally in the right and just manner.
  4. Respect: Each human being must be treated with due respect. Every human is dependent on other in this society. Each individual has the right to give and to get respect.

Ethical issue due to pandemic

We all are facing this kind of pandemic for the first time after several decades. There were many epidemics in the course of time but this pandemic is deadly. Even though there are some beneficial aspects like renovation of nature and feeling the value of relationships, there are also some ethical issue.3

Basic important needs for the people

Due to lockdown, many people lost their job. Lack of job made them financially unstable. In our society, many people are daily basis workers, who toil each day to meet their daily needs. Some roadside vendors lost their job. They must work each day to run their family. Nevertheless, in the lockdown of several months, they became feeble and deprived of basic need. Even the middle-class families were coping up initially. However, as the lockdown extended, they also affected badly.

Partiality
Only the rich and well to do people were treated well in these days. The poor people are becoming poor and the rich become richer. The middle-class people were also not able to lead a normal life. The rich people had best treatment even in hospitals. They all allowed going to parties and getting together while the poor people not even allowed going to the small shops near their home. This kind of inequality prevailed and destroyed the peaceful coexistence of people.

Disrespect
Due to poor financial condition, people were not able to pay the EMI or rent for house and other properties. Even though they give extension, they were incapable of paying a sum of money. This caused a sort of disrespect to the common people. Even the people who recovered from the disease treated like untouchables. This also causes agony in people. Always they were illtreated in the society and discomfort.

Restrictions
When we discuss about the freedom one can already notice that we are restricted in the walls of our house. We cannot move about freely anywhere. We cannot breathe fresh air without a mask. We cannot celebrate the festive season by sharing hugs with our friends and relatives. Even though these are preventive measures, we are restricted into an isolated zone. This makes us dull and less in spirit. These are some of the ethical issues, which I see in the lockdown.

Human challenges in day-to-life

At present currently, 35% of patients critically ill with confirmed covid19 are suffering a lot not only during the treatment but also from post-treatment life. Many people have restarted their new normal are also been effected because they have started and all are effected by the sudden fall from a normal life. People those who do jobs related to studies or coaching centers have no students in their institutes. Not only working people and many students affected because virtual learning can help the students who are really in well-to-do families or for the students who are really showing interest because many families have no phone to make students study. Not only students but also teachers are affected, because the faces many difficulties, they have totally changed their self and working so hard for making students life better and better. Many people have lost their existing jobs, so they have to do something new and work even more hard to make their family also mentioned above are some points that has effected people.

Human challenges facing during Covid situations

Corona is affecting adversely every day. Many science laboratories trying to find out vaccines and the particular medicine. Still they can succeed. That is a major suffering of the people. People are expecting the outcome of the covid studies. Public health leads to rapid increasing of death. Therefore, corona is challenging the total global humanities. For ethical reasons people should follow precaution and the guidelines.

Conclusion

Covid 19 is still poses challenges on ethical dimensions of life. There may not be a single solution to come away from this specific pandemic. Collective wisdom of scientists and ethical guidelines offered by philosophers and other specialists can work together as s team and find a single solution to eradicate this deadly virus.
