Hospice & Palliative Medicine International Journal (HPMIJ) is the premier peer-reviewed open access journal focused on all aspects of palliative care for the dying and for those with profound suffering related to chronic illness. Palliative care can help manage symptoms, pain, or side effects from treatment. It can help people manage with their feelings about living with a serious illness. It can also help with communication, so all the health professionals providing care for a person understand their shared goals. It may even help with planning for future medical care. This journal therefore, appeals to members of the team including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, pastoral counsellors, psychologists, program administrators and any other specialty involved in this care.
