Reviewer Guidelines

The sole purpose of MedCrave's open access journals is to make valuable scientific research readily available to its viewers. MedCrave also strives to ensure that published content is of the utmost quality. Peer review is designed to assess the validity, quality and originality of submitted manuscripts before they are published. Reviewers help to maintain the integrity of the publication process by ensuring that invalid or poor-quality manuscripts are not approved for publishing.

The Reviewer

Peer review is the foundation for safeguarding the quality and integrity of scientific and scholarly research. MedCrave fully supports the peer review process and recognizes reviewers' contributions as an Editorial Board member and the success of a journal. MedCrave requires each of its reviewers to be an eminent person in his/her field of content. Reviewers also have the responsibility of providing genuine, constructive comments and criticism about submitted manuscripts.

The Peer Review Process

The Journals of MedCrave are subjected to a double-blind peer review process. When content is presented for peer review, the name, details and affiliations of the author are not revealed to the reviewers. Authors are kept in absolute blindness regarding the identity of the reviewers. The reviewers are expected to respond in a timely manner and adhere to all deadlines. Reviewers will evaluate the originality, accuracy and wholeness of each submitted manuscript and provide honest feedback to other Editorial Board members.

Some Points to Note
  • Reviewers should have the expertise to carry the peer reviewing process autonomously
  • Reviewers are not allowed to edit manuscript content.
  • Reviewers have no rights to any form of personal accusations (confidential feedback can be presented to the Editor-in-Chief).
  • Reviewers are required to maintain all aspects of confidentiality in the peer review process.
  • Reviewers must not attempt to reveal his/her identity; he may not contact the author without due permission from the Editor-in-Chief.

The decisions of the Reviewer must never be influenced by any external factors, (i.e. the origin, nationality, race, gender, ethnicity, religion or political views of the author). The validity and the quality of the content presented are the only grounds for evaluation.
